SURVIVOR BENEFITS ASSISTANCE FOR WIDOWS & FAMILIES OF VETERANS

Losing a loved one is challenging enough without the added stress of navigating the complex process of securing your entitled benefits. At Veterans Community Resources (VCR), we are here to provide you with the support and guidance you need to access the benefits you are eligible for as the widow or family member of a veteran.

Our mission is simple: to help surviving spouses and families of veterans navigate the often confusing world of benefits applications and coordination. Whether it’s assistance with paperwork, navigating the Veterans Administration (VA), or understanding what benefits you qualify for, we’re here to make the process easier.

Although we don’t represent veterans to the VA, we have the experience to guide you through the necessary steps and help you gather the proper documentation.

WHAT WE OFFER

At VCR Services, we provide assistance with the following:

VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) BENEFITS

We guide you in completing forms such as DD Form 21-534EZ and others necessary for survivors' benefits and indemnity compensation.

SOCIAL SECURITY COORDINATION

We help you submit applications for Social Security survivor benefits to ensure you receive any pensions and entitlements.

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE (DOD) AND OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT (OPM)

We assist with DoD and OPM documentation to ensure you are prepared to access additional survivor benefits.

COORDINATION OF BENEFITS

From phone calls to completing paperwork, we coordinate with government agencies to help you secure the benefits you deserve.

A STORY OF HOPE

We recently assisted a widow who was unsure of her next steps after her husband’s passing. With limited funds and an aging car, she needed to secure her benefits to support her future.

VCR Services helped her complete applications for Social Security, VA, and DFAS. After a few months, her benefits were approved, including retroactive payments.

Today, she receives a stable pension, providing her with financial security.
